I dont think too many people will be spilling the beans on their tried and tested mixes etc Dub, but nice try! I dont really make my own bait that much, try adding a bit of something extra to base mixes like The Source. (used a lot in ireland)
Make up 2 or 3 different lots of bait with different levels / ingredients in each and see what results you come up with. Thats what ive done in the past. Or try wrapping a paste around your boilie for something different, betaine etc..

Boily mix:

Half Semolina and soya protine
5 spice powder (Wu Shiang Fen)
And a few black sesame seeds.
And sweetener

And it works!

Dub, Monkey spunk should be used on its own to provide a food bait that is low on flavours with the main attraction being the bait itself.

If you have been using monkey spunk in your bait for a while on a particular water and the success rate is starting to trail off, try adding 2 ml of Plum flavour and it may give the bait a new injection of life
