I have recieved 2 PM's from people telling me that they can't see the images in the Gallery.I still aint figured out what is causing the problem but want to know are many people having the same problem ????

Talking of the Gallery the the picture of the lad holding a fish over concrete with no mat should be removed by the mods...............

Damo it already looks like it did afew rounds with the concrete,nasty marks on it.

and who ever posted it sould be sent a message and educated on fish handling and fish safety

take it easy lads highlighting anything like that does no good for anybody ,all it takes is a talk with whoever and a point in the right direction to sort this out ,we all caught our first carp at some stage or other and 99 % of us did not have a matt with us but dont take it out on someone who just wanmted to show a nice picture of a nice fish

that was my point colin, it should be explained to him what he's done wrong and how to fix it instead of just deleting the picture with nothing said. i agree we all need help starting out i didn't have a clue starting off and if it wasn't for vinnie and damo and a few others helping me out i probably would have been putting a picture like that up myself. so thats why i said send him a message.

Thats not the point Colin, a picture was posted on a public forum, demonstrating no regard for the fish.

A mod should take responsability and establish the rules on how you want the world see CFI.............I think!

Yes we all start somewhere, we all make mistakes but if it is not removed, then right thing to do is add a caption along the lines of 'Please ensure a protective padded unhooking mat is used, and plenty of lake water is to hand to ensure fish safety'
Or 'Please refer to the Fish saftey blog on the site for tips on handling fish'

right then, i'll hold my hands up and take it on the chin. the pic is of me and after readng your comments and looking at the pic again i can see where you are coming from, but in my defence i have been angling for 20 years now and have handled many large fish, the fish in the photo was actualy landed on a concret jetty and was put onto a unhooking mat, once unhooked it was carryed in the net for the fishes safety and placed on a damp , grassy , leafy area of a public muddy path which is where the photo is taken. there is a pic of a old 21lb mirror caught on the same day on the same gallery which if you look closely you will see there is a unhooking mat present. i am a balliffe on the water in question and those pics have not been posted because i would not like someone with less experiance than myself fishing that peg due to it being easy to lose control of a fish on the bank, but i thought that as you chaps will proberly never even clap eyes on the place never mind fish it i thought it would be interesting viewing. im sorry if i affended anyone with the pic, that was never my intention, i asure you all that the fish never came to any harm and was only out of the water for a few mins.
