Korda Dvds..

Hi all....Looking for a bit of info ....Thinking of buying the box set of the Korda underwater dvd collect would they be worth getting and worth the money....Cheers Dub....

don`t know how much there are , but i watched no 5 last week and i think if i see someone drop one more fish, i`ll kill myself. they asked nick h to come down and help them and then disregarded what he was saying. why bother !!!! it was interesting to watch the carp in the swim alright and the way they reacted to the rigs. but could not understand why they just did not use a longer rig so it could get sucked into the fish`s mouth. by the end i found it annoying to watch and wanted to punch the head off danny f....thinking tackle..........over thinking tackle i think

I,d totally agree with you on that 1 dan,had enough after the 3rd dvd
If i had a euro for every time the word korda and pukka was mentioned
i,d be a wealthy man,theres promo and then theres more promo i know
sales have to be made but the word overkill springs to mind

ill give you a lend glen dont waste your hard earnd cash

i downloaded number 5 i think, the one that Dan describes

all they do is lose fish after, after fish, pathetic really,

the only impression it gives the viewer, is that you`re crap lucky if you actually catch a fish

that one old fish, with the lump on his belly, he was cool though, kept eating everything, bar the hookbait, smart fcuker indeed, 7 second memory my arse

I've always said that they could have made one decent 2 or 3 hour set but no, almost 20 hours of 'Pukka' and 'get in there my son'. I have yet to this day made it through even one DVD of the collect without falling asleep. Way too boring.

Get out and do your own investigating. Watch the fish in your own lake and watch how they feed and react in different situations. Fish are different in every lake so find out what they do in your chosen lake and adapt your fishing to those habits. If you ever get a chance to read Terry Hearns books, you'll see how he approaches lakes. He could spend up to a month climbing trees and just observing the fish before wetting a line. Get to know where they rest up, where they feel relaxed, where they feed in safety etc, all this investigating is what leads to his captures, not a fancy rig or super new bait.

to be fair to the layman though, Terry Hearn literally lived in his bivvy for 4 years, fishign every single day, until ESP started sponsoring him, pretty crazy really

as for the fancy rig talk, you`ve hit the nail on the head there

i read a fair bit of your man Ian russells articles, he uses braided hooklenght with the same hook pattern for 90% of his fishing, and he catches all the time

and even closer to home, Dan, he once posted here, i hope im right in saying this, he`s never, NOT used a safety clip, so again, simple, and effective, all them fancy rigs do is catch the angler, not the fish

Do a search on you tube you might find them there!

I wouldn't bother with dvd's 90% of them are crap, you can always watch thinking tackle for free on sky sports 3 it's on at 7pm alot of nights. It's not great but no worse than the dvd's that go for 20euro each. Ian russel was on last night and he cleaned up on simple rigs. I think books are better value for your money, im reading carp life by mike wilmott at the minute and it's v good

Seen it last night.....Ian Russell was on it very good angler and he owns Heathrow baits as far as i know......Some good tips to be had as well ......

the only thing more boring than carp angling .........is watching DVDs about it

He sold Heathrow baits last year,he is with Richworth baits now

Richworth were the first company to produce boilies as far as I know. They do make good baits.
