well lads back from the ebro .
it was a pure disaster the wind & rain never stoped
water levels&temp were all over the place
only managed one fish to my rod on the last night
a scraney 13lb common .we had 8 rods out constant
tryed everything came home with our tails between our legs.
there were very few fish banked along the river.
paul in anglers world had 3 fish.

Andy thats a shame you struggled but hey thats fishing at least you went and tryed but the bottom line is you cant beat mother nature

its been a hard winter out there as well and with a lot of water going through the system which makes life a lot harder
the fish have been switching on and off all the time so its luck whether they are on and off on your week and in your swim

thats why the ebro gets under your skin if you have a good week it then sets the standard and you want more /bigger fish the next time but mother nature kicks you in the b**** so you have to go back again

digger it was the hardest fishing iv done in a while i felt vomiting when i got back.ah thats why its called fishing not catching.
there s not to many lads that would survive in the pirennes for a week
bear grilles type of thing .i think france next year but the ebro is still in the back of my mind.i defo be back with a lad called jeff from cat and carp crunchers 100% bloke.

Andy yes i can imagine had a few trips in the colder months some good and others a real test of endurance........ sat on the bank freezing your nuts off thinking what the ****am i doing here scratch and can't buy a bite for love nor money then go to the bar in the evening and you meet people rinsing the swim you dismissed at the start of the week and wished you'd kept stum
hey ho thats fishing

Andy yes its great living on the bank and not seeing another angler but in the colder months its like banging your head against a brick wall luckily i know a few people over there and manage to get up to date info on how the area is fishing
so that gives a bit of an insight in to feeding times along the system and sometimes everyone says the same "they aint having it " so after a couple of days its worth pulling off the bank and going back to town to recharge the batterys so to speak

one trip in winter we fished 9 swims in 4 days spread over 10 miles just trying to find feeding fish luckily the last swim came good and saved a blank
