Wanted: Starter Kit for a mate. Got his first Carp in Corkagh last week and wants in Smile for about €100-€150.

Needs:
2 rods with baitrunner reels. 2.5tc
2 Alarms.
Landing Net.
Carp Mat.
Banksticks.

Optionals:
Chair.
Shelter.
Bits and bobs of end tackle etc.

He's looking at this but I'd say the rods and reels would be poor quality? http://www.gumtree.ie/dublin/87/62588087.html

I hear ya cheers. Bit of a floppy cast I'd say Smile and as for the pod I'd rec banksticks anyway unless you can't avoid it! Saw a half decent starter kit on ebay for half the price minus tent and bags etc but always best to get your hands on the gear for look before one invests Smile

So if anyone out there can help get this guy on the right track Smile ???

do not buy the kits , they are a total waste of money , rubbish gear that wont sell on if your mate decides carping aint for him

you can pic up fox warriors , chub snoopers and outcasts , and some diawas or shakespeare rods for very little money secondhand .......i saw an add for 3 okuma baitrunners for £45 ! there are some real bargains out there if your prepared to look around and be patient .
