The two basic trips available for 2013.

The RAHO Kickback. - This is both an ideal venture into public water fishing and a more laid back trip for those who want to kick back with plenty of runs and a chance at something special from a wild water.
It holds a large population of fish to mid 20kg (mid 50's in old money) with the average being in the 10/15kg (mid 20's to mid 30's) range and quite a few 20kg plus fish show up these days.
If you have done the commercials and want to up the game or just fancy something different in terms of big water wild fish (but not a ball breaker) then this is a very enjoyable and comfortable water to fish.

BIG WILD. - These trips are aimed at those seeking more of a challenge.
Big waters - big fish. The rewards are there, you just need your head switched on and a little lady luck on your side. Boat work is essential for locating features, placing rigs at distance and will often involve night forays in order to land that potential PB. At the upper end we're talking about possible 30kg fish here.

Due to demand RAHO trips will also operate earlier this year (then again from September) before moving onto the BIG WILD trips in May.
Spring can be a very productive time to hit it as fish are on the move and feeding heavily prior to spawning.

Flights before May are from Dublin into Girona www.ryanair.com then a 45min bus trip www.frogbus.com up to Perpignan where you will be picked up and brought to the lake.
From May www.aerlingus.com fly direct from Dublin into Perpignan.

Details, pricing and tackle supplied are listed on the opening page and all you will need to bring are your Reels (loaded with either braid or mono depending on water targeted/preference), your Buzzers, indicators, light sleeping bag/cover, head torch, basic terminal tackle and the items listed on the checklist.

Stickybaits, Feed Baits, Particle and Pellet are all available to order.
RAHO feed Boilie is available at E55 per 10kg.
Camping facilities are available in close proximity to the main night zone on the RAHO - showers/toilets/power/etc.. at very reasonable rates.

I'm getting the yearning for the bigger waters again so I'll be in touch about one of the trips for 2014 lads. This year is a write off but I'll be in touch in a couple of months for some advice on venues. Cheers again.

just back from RAHO had the best trip abroad ever me and my son ended up with 45 runs with 5 rods 2 for my son 3 for me we ended up with 40 fish on the bank my son had a 46lb mirror i had a 45.4lb mirror and 9x30s 39lb to 30lb and 29 fish from 29lb to 18lb.lovely place great weather and bonus having use of the toilets and showers well looked after with in 30secs walk and just want to said thanks to GORDON GOODWIN for everything and you were right about the fishing thanks.
