Angling technics take some beating when it comes to bait boats. You get what you pay for though.Viper are a good make.I have a viper icon, and it does the job although i find it to be slow a bit,and gets tossed about in choppy water. No problems with motors or wireing. Some like props, others prefer jets.Horses for courses. One hopper or two.Go for two if you have the cash,as you can drop two seperate loads on the one trip, saving valueable battery life.I dont use mine every time out,i regard it as another tool in the box.Great for when you want to get a bait and some freebies into a tight spot.If your looking to put a lot of bait out,get handy with a marker&spod, they'll go all day without charging.

Have a waveruner meself and they can be a bit of a nightmare at times. A baitboat is a handy bit if kit for getting rigs into akward places and ur rigs will be tangle free and on ur bait. It gives u a bit of peace of mind that way. If ya do get one, mind it like a child.

Except when batterys go dead and only way of charging them is a solar panel, thanks to Dan for charging them up (and retreiving from lake) or it would still be floating around Brigeueil. lol!

i had viper and they are a great boat but hard on batterys, i have a waverunner double hopper now and had nothing but hassle with it. motor went, it leaked aerial broke. as netboy said, mind them like a baby. i like the look of the waverunner shuttle or the skarp.

Seen a homemade one in Brigeueil earlier on this year and in fairness if I was thinking of a boat thats the way I would go. It was made from what I think was 3 or 4 inch plastic pipe (like downpipe on side of a house) and had two hoppers on it. These were made from stackable storage containers that when pushed by a piston they emptied. I saw it go through lillies as if they werent there and it was fast and stable. Dan may have a pic somewhere of it and mabey a bit more info on it. The only thing wrong with it was it was about 3-4 feet long and the fellow who had it used a trailer to get it up the track. All I can say is that if Carlesberg made baitboats.
