| Heading to Valencia in June with the old doll, Will be bringing 2 x 9ft fixed spool rods and the fly rod with me. Will also have a car so Alicante is in easy reach, I have looked up some sites and there seems to be lots of lakes where i can go for Carp / Barbel / Black Bass and Zander so im sure ill find a spot or two.
But its best too get advise from someone who has been there and done that instead of relying web pages. Any good guide/ghillie contact would also be nice for whatever type of fishing.
Any body?
Thanks:D | |

| Well as said i have booked on the Sierra Brava lake, Guadiana River. Bait is supplied as follows: 45 KG particles mix and 4.5 KG of mixed Richworth Boilies and some gluged pop ups.
I want to bring some of my own boilies too as ill have plenty of room in the bags. The lake is something like 10,000 Acres and the fish feed alot on Crayfish. Any suggestions on what boilies i should bring over. Also is there any advantages of bringing frozen over? i.e. Would i be better to bring a dried bait high in attraction? was thinking the below might be good as the Carp feed on Crayfish, Is there a spacific Crayfish boilies? SPICY SHRIMP & PRAWN BOILIES MONSTER CRAB BOILIES SQUID AND OCTOPUS BOILIES MONSTER PURSUIT BOILIES Thanks again... | |

| I am bringing 10KG of Crayfish boilies with me. I can get them frozen or airdried. Is it worth the extra hassle of bringing frozen out to Spain? Is it better to just bring airdried as i am not going to be introducing these as a long time food source? What ye think? Thanks again | |

| Airdried would be your best bet Tony unless you can get a freezer big enough for the 10kg of bait. | |

| tony i have been fishing spain for 3 years now not just one a year but 10 or 12 times a year. in the begining i used all sorts of boilies and popups tried everything but it all came down to 2 baits, 28mm halibut pellet over a bed of maise with a scatering of pellets you can also use 4 maise on the hair, trow away all your size 8 6 and 4 hooks just bring size 2 heavy gaige and no less than 35lb hooklenth i also use an 80lb braided leaded to 18 lb mono, this might seem over the top but it has taking me 2 years to get to this if you want to talk more give me a ring 0872532513 dave. | |
