| I know Rory O'Neill well, very good angler, I fished with him on the Irish team, he used to nick rigs off me as he could not be bothered to do any. | |

I'm sure those lads know that and would not do anything to harm them, and wouldn't have them out long. What venue is this anyway and how long ago. I'm looking to find some new tench venues for next summer. Anyone wanna pm me. Its been a while since i got a good tench session in.

| A mate of Steve's fished the match on Saturday and had nearly 72lb on the pellet waggler!
He came a close second losing by just over a pound, to a guy on the pole.
There is parking on all pegs keepnets are allowed and the big breakfast costs £4.50.
Sausage, bacon, eggs, black pudding, beans, tomatoes, fried bread, toast and a big mug of tea.
The lake is on withybrook Road just outside Bulkington, and has fish over 20!

There are a few people allowed to fish overnight Jack's lake being the one to fish with lumps up to 30+ in it. When we get the new cafe we will be running night matches. Most bivvi boys use unhooking mats now but they are not compulsory, barbless hooks are the norm and keepnets are allowed, there is no limit on line strenghts with the majority of the fish only a few pounds in weight. leaving litter is also excepted but that is about to change as I am not prepared to clean up other peoples crap. We are aware of poachers in the area and we will take legal action with any-one caught steeling fish.

There is no closed season, so anytime you want to come over do. the main lake is a erated so the ice is not too thick. 28lbs won the match on Saturday so its would be best to wait till the water warms a bit. £5 per day for 2 rods £3 for OAP's and disabled, you can get your bait from us and it's not too pricey! Meat £1 per tin Sweetcorn 60p per tin Cooked giant hemp £1.50 per bag High oil pellets £1.50 per bag We also have a selection of ground bait! From M69/M6 junction take the Ansty road, turn left at the lights in Shilton (Bulkington road) turn right (towards Rugby) at the mini roundabout into Withybrook road, and the fishery is a few hundred yards up on the right. Hopsford Hall is just down the road and has a specimen lake and the Duckery which has resident wildies, where Mat Hayes caught some for his fishing program on channel 4 and is now shown on the Discovery channel Reopens on 16th February 2009. I am on the website with my PB from the lake. http://www.fisheries.co.uk/hopsford/index.htm
