| Ok folks, Here’s an awkward nasty little question. Just wondering what most lads spend in a year on their domestic fishing. Not just carp fishing but all fishing. Now not talking about the ‘everyday’ things like food etc, or foreign holidays just stuff directly required for angling like, rods, reels, other gear, tackle, bait, line, licenses, day-tickets, permits, etc, etc. I reckon I average around €1000 - €1500 pa.
Add it up, think about it you will be surprised! | |

| Last year i spent around 3500 on gear because i was getting all the proper gear for carp. Still havent got the baitboat but other then that i have all i need. You can add on another 100 or so for the rest of my fishing like sea and beach fishing. and going to the game fair so add on another 100 ish. | |

| Intially getting carp gear together about 3,500.I sat down a while ago and added up what ive spent on fishing in general..taking in course fishing,Rods reels, tackle boxes, seat boxes, poles,Feeder rods, pike rods, specimin rods for tench, luggage, clothing;the list is endless.Anyway when i got past the 12,000quid mark i stopped.Because if she ever found out id parted with that much for fishing,my body would be seperated from my scrotum. As long as you never stop learning you will never stop spending cash on fishing. And i cant wait to get to the show on saturday to do a bit more. On average though my spending is down as i dont buy anything major anymore.maybe 500 to 750 a year.

| That's rubbish Pat and you know it! The initial outlay is a bit boggling but slowly and steadily upgrading keep the outlays to a minimum. Yearly, about 500 if even. pmsl | |

| The amount of money I would spend on tackle I don't think would be that much, bait however different story. When it comes to purchasing tackle for Angling First,oh boy, it is not one or two of things when you consider that you are having to kit out for upto 45 young people at a time all of which being identical is just mindboggling. Factor in breakages, consummables such as hooks line floats and shot neverending and then you have bait, all it takes is for one kid who is not catching to throw in some bait and start catching, next thing you know bait is going in like confetti. Anyway apologies for the diversion. Thinking about it on my own personal basis I definately spend more on bait. | |
