| well said aido. some of the prices fellas are looking for 2nd hand gear is crazy. some seem to try and make a profit after useing the gear for a year or two.,seen a bivvy for sale on this site, and it was more expensive to buy without the winter skin that a new one in the shops with winter skin included. | |

| Fx rate is back to normal, that means 3 new un's will cost you around €470, plus any postage, the good old days of a Euro being worth nearly the same as a pound are gone. You will also see prices in the UK go up again after Xmas as there VAT rate goes up, we may even see shoppers and holiday makers return! | |

| For example, if you bought a Daiwa Infinity reel just over a year ago you would have paid STG£175, with the then Fx rate that was about €190. Due to the worlds banks doubting the abilty of the UK government the pound fell off a cliff, so import prices went up, the above reel now sells at STG€219 add todays fx rate that will cost you €265! It is totally plausable that you should be able to sell it for at least what you paid, and even make a small profit....... | |

You're dead right you're not my mate and sellin second hand stuff for more than you paid for it when it was new regardless of the exchange rate isn't funny either. Thats called a rip off and you dont need math to work that out. | |

| I'm not selling anything! I am just pointing out that what you paid for something 12 months ago, it costs at least 10 to 15% more to buy it now and rising, and in the item I highlighted it would suggest you can sell it second hand for nearly what you paid for it, if you were lucky enough to buy at the peak of the euro, it's called being subjective. I am not suggesting people sell things for more than they paid, thats what shops and stuff do I think.... Socialist worker anyone? | |

| You're contradicting yourself now. " its totally plausable that you can sell for at least what you paid for it and even make a small profit" "I'm not suggesting people sell things for more than they paid" Make your mind up. Goods used, and without warranty depreciate over time. | |
