| he's the man i wanted the minute i knew rafa was on his way. good manager who never makes to much of a fuss. i just hope he gets a few quid to spend as he needs a few fresh faces but you would wonder if there is any money there with all the debt the club has. | |

| Hodgson will have a Plan B, you can be sure of that. 35 years of Management, both national and international teams, Premier League Manager of the year last year (which I may add included Ancelotti winning the double in his first year in England - no mean feat there) and a new owner due mid August. I cannot see him being anything but a success........PROVIDING...... he is given time and resources. He'll need 2010/11 to set out how the team play under his reign, 2011/12 you will see the team bear fruit when he has added to the squad who he believes can improve.
Don't forget the incredible amount of mediocre players Benitez has left at the club, each one will have to be looked at properly and either kept or sold so don't be expecting miracles. It's a fickle business but I believe Liverpool were always a club that gave the Manager a fair crack of the whip.
It's all good, 6th or higher next season I believe. I think Villa will under achieve this year but both Man City and Spurs will be 4th and 5th again I feel. Everton will be a force again this year with most of their injuries now sorted. | |

| paulc you laughing at urself for being a man u fan!!he is a good manager and a mid table team but the pool is a big club and warrant a big manager,im not a pool fan just love the game and want to see a team challenging chelsea cant see many teams breaking into the top 3 for a few years maybe spurs will take 3rd spot, the pool will only finish around the 6th-7th spot yet again. | |

| Nope, not laughing at being a fan of Man U, just laughing at his colossal successes at club level haha. Danish and Swedish leagues, I'm so damn happy to be a ManU fan with his track record for high level success. It'l be 3-4 years if he's given that long before the silverware I reckon. Too many clubs ha ve overtaken the Pool in the last year or two. | |

| Excellent reply there! haha It's time to re-group is all. They'll be back challenging soon after the clear-out. I reckon Mascherano will definitely go and I genuinely cannot see Torres there beyond the end of the season. Jamie C isn't the defender he once was either which is a shame. | |

| paulc i think you are right about him but cant see the pool givin him that time, and if they do the other teams would of progressed further,if spurs keep harry then they could well take liverpools place, oops sorry they did already. | |
