Our party of 8 are booked up for Island Lake in April again. We managed to get the last available week of the year. Largest Common out this year went 66lbs, Largest Mirror broke the 70lb mark at just over 72lbs. Average weight now up in the high 40's with at least one sixth of the stock currently above 50lbs. 6 different 60's out this year so far. Hoping for some right lumps if we catch the place just before spawning time. 7 months to go, counting the days already!!!!

but maybe i can go get a 50 from dans in end of october the fish are pilling the weight on since we got back so i can only hope

i dont now yet, but my mate from England flyng tumorow going for 10 days to spend the christmas on the lake ( i now its sound made but this is true) so hi will do alot of searching and mabe few days of fishing, then we could back in spirng and do the week fishing rent all the gear in france, you could book you fligts true Airlingus and it will be aound 200e and the fligt to Nice and then drive 50km to the cassien like i said this the plan so dont now yet , but its sound very attractive and challenging

Best of luck to ye all- so many places with huge carp now-all that quality bait and well looked after commercial waters really is putting the weights through the roof! I could be off to a wedding in Brazil for 2 weeks in July, have to sneak a few items of tackle lol . All goin well i shud get a couple of weeks on public waters in france, spoilt for choice really and fish to 70+ are out there and the 'other half' can still have a sun holiday.

Going to the Island Lake too from the 9th until 16th of April.

Hope the winter is long gone before we go, lol.

Using this moment too to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a great 2011 filled with carp.

just bought tickets to France ( to lake st cassien going on 19 of April and stayng for 10 days) happy days
