Yeah i think we are all only realising what great players we had when you compare them to this team.
Fair play to this group for qualifying in the 1st place in doing this they over achieved in many ways and it was great to have a couple of nights out like the old days except the results were a bit different this time.
Could be the end of the road for some of this generation although with trappatoni having 2 yrs left on his contract he will probably give them one more roll of the dice and then it will be up to a new man to rebuild a bit like Mick McCarthy did when he took over from Jack.
I feel a bit sorry for the fans that travelled as they spent alot of dough in very tough times although a few of my mates said the beer was for nothing compared to home.
Still a great tournament to be enjoyed and i backed Germany and Russia so hopefully get a return.
