baboons are not tournament reels , they are emblems ............and you will pay a premium for them , around a ton each or the same price as proper tourneys . They are really no better than the emblem 5000s ........the gold ones , which can be bought for 35-45 quid each . they also do a z and x model in blue and silver with more bearings and metal lipped spools .

i have 6 gold 1's (emblems) i couldn't fault um, but im just looking to upgrade to something a bit more tarty lol

They're not tarty mate, they're old. They are good reels, good enough for a beginner/versatile, but if you want something tarty (and very good) go for Tournament Linear X

Now those are reels..

Heavy, but very solid indeed, and very, very tarty..

Will set you back about 120 each second hand
