| Less than 4 days out of 8 with rods in the water due to gale force winds, 1st day was spent experimenting with ways to tackle the snags having hit fish after a few hours and losing every single one (99% of rigs retrived by boat). once worked out and working together to drop baits and bait up (200kg in the few days) at 200 - 250 meters the tally began. Gary had 11 fish - 16, 20, 22, 26x2, 28x2, 30, 31 and 2 34lb plus fish. and myself - 12, 30, 32 and a 34lb plus. both lost good fish and Gary a possible cat. the rest of the time we sat looking out at the storm and watching fishing videos.. few more grey hairs but great satisfaction in working out and learning ways to tackle situations. GG. |

| Just down river from the confluence of the Segre and the Ebro, we took Jurgen's villa "Casa rio". did you hear about the 68lb'er coming out in the last couple of weeks Dave? fell to a German lad at night from the Ebro side of the Segre bridge. GG. |

| gordon I think I know where u were fishing, still sticking with the bavarian i see u need to explore the river a bit more although you were in the best place for time of year, deep water and all that the river is between 800 & 1000 m wide at that point i normaly fish oppsit side in the olive swim at this time of year less snagy with same depth of water what bait did u use for baiting up and how often did u put it in | |

| Sure thing Dave, we have got to know the lads there so we get a good deal with them. the area I am talking about has produced the biggest fish to date, the mixing of the rivers - thats why I fish it! but we intend to travel more of the river for the Tench and Barbel at some stage. we baited up with a particle mix of maize, hemp, tigers, wheat etc.. and pellet. 25kg to 50kg over each marker per day dependent on conditions. morning, afternoon and evening. GG. |
