Blavet Valley Lakes - Catch Reports 2010

Hi Ray and Trev,

I will check through my book and let you know about bait tomorrow.

Mono would be ideal for hook link.

The lake bed is mostly gravel with some sand and silt patches - no weed at all

i was on last week didnt need to much bait i used

4 kilos of boiles
4 kilos of pellets and the same or near enough of particle.

tight lines.

Hi Conard.............How did u do for the week with only using that amount of bait mate?? Sounds a bit lite as there are some big fish in there and would not take them long at all to mop up the that amount of bait.....

My last session in france i used 13kgs of bait and that was for a week session........

i used about the same maybe a kg or so less....

Sometimes less is best. C'mon lads where are these fish?

Hope hitting it a bit earlier will ensure that they're not spawning this time around. I would love to go back this year but funds are not so readily available.

well what can i say, a great week. 86 fish out between 6 of us irish lads and 2 english anglers and a young kid. one of the english lads had 45 runs and only landed 22 fish. sturgeon was out 3 times and 1 cat. carp to 41lb. as for the food, it was fantastic. all the service was great. will def be returning. and our freind the bivvy rattler had a 27lb grassie. ferrit piss did well with 13 fish and he had the 41lb. pics to follow. thanks again berny and gordon and ross for a great week.
i will be sending the wife over for cooking lessons soon.

We had a cracking week in Blavet Valley lakes last week alright. It was even better than i expected. Super fishing on a beautiful lake.I cant wait to go back.I had not caught a carp over 20lb in Ireland so having a few lumps out over there up to 38lb 14oz i am well pleased.Big thanks to Gordon,Berny and Ross.
