| Myself and James just finishing off our week out with Bernie and Gordan. I was 3 days waiting for a bite, fishing from the Rails, Tuesday then it woke up. Had a 13lb at 10 in morn then a 28lb common at 9 that evening (my new pb) then wednesday mornin just smashed all hopes!! Middle rod dropped back only by 2 inces and one beep on alarm. Sat and watched... 1 min later rod tore off.... After an 55min battle i landed a unreal 53lb 3oz common!!!! This a pic of same fish caught in feb - pics of my catch to follow http://www.blavetvalleylakes.com/Carp-gallery-2011/Carp-Brittany-France-54lbs.jpg Then last nite a 19lb common again, Fished Emerald Baits crab and cranberry and black pepper. Twice i've used these baits abroad and both times they did the biz!! James has a 18lb and 25lb so far... he's bn snagged up a few times as he fishing v close to the margins. Have to say lake is unreal! Bernie and Gordon couldnt do more! food, facilitys and craic is top class! One word - Delighted | |

| cheers lads sounds like a good spot. looking for somewhere that will give me a small chance of beating my pb of 44.08 but more importantly somewhere with some decent fishing and a nice place. My only concern is there seems to be very few decent hits of fish on this lake quantity wise from looking on this and another forum but at the same time most people seem to like the venue and there is a chance of a 50. Is this because it's quite a difficult venue or is it a low stock venue with some big fish. I probably have this wrong but will only be my 3rd trip to france and venue i wanted to book was booked up for next yr and want to be sure on venue choice before parting with my hard earned. pm's or replys most welcome. | |

Murph had - 1 x 18, 1 x 20, 1 x 26 & 1 x 34lb
