Island Lake

3 More weeks until we go to the Island Lake in France.

From the 9th until the 16th of April.

Hope the weather will do its best.

Yes, we're going with Niall and Richard. Richard is going to France tomorrow to fish on Cedars lake (Island Lake owners other lake around the corner) for 2 weeks, he is then coming home and going over with us again in 4 weeks time.

I have met Richard in November last year, he was my neighbour on the Island Lake.
Very pleasant man to be with and full of giving tips and trics.
Hope I will see him before we go back to Holland the 16th.

And I was hoping to see Niall too again, but he said he was arriving later!!!!! Too bad

yes third trip there,first time amazing,a common to 54 .last time was very bad only a 10lb bream to show from all my hard work,so fingers crossed.cant wait and yes Richard is a great old character

This will be my second trip. And yes i couldn't have a better neighbour!!!!!
I do hope too that the weather is ok and the carp will feed.
When do you think you all will arrive??

There will be 5 of us arriving on Friday night / Early Saturday morning. Niall must go to Blavet Valley in Brittany to deliver bait before following us over to Island Lake. Niall should be across to us the following morning in time for the swim draw at 12PM.

Any reports yet from island lake???

And he would let me know if any fish is caught.

Richard was filling me and Peters head full of French fishing holiday ideas on the way home Saturday...Best of luck to all goin on Island lake this year, I might just give it a go soon too, sounds the bizz...damn you Richard!!!

Last tuesday i had contact with Mick Hall and so far they had six carp weighing from 33 up to 53.

All my stuff is packed and ready to go.
Tomorrow some shopping for the last things and saturdaymorning at 04:30 we are off to the "Island Lake"

For now the weather looks very good, so i hope the lake temp will rise and the fish will start feeding.
